In the past hour or so, you most likely turned on the television or swiped through social media. Right? You were looking to see if there were any updates about the coronavirus pandemic and how our state is handling the situation. Has our regiomet the criterion to begin reopening? How much longer do businesses have to stay closed? 

As we wait for updates regarding the process of gradually returning to normalcy, we would like to share some good news. Baker Public Relations clients have been busy working on their post-pandemic plans, making sure safety measures are in place for employees and customersbuilding their brands, and sharing positive messages.

Mohawk Honda and Mohawk Chevrolet shifted plans for their annual pet adoption clinics. This year, they made sure Humane Society animals were available for adoption virtually. News10 ABC previewed the pets. If you’re all about seeing cute cats and dogs, you’ll want to watch the storhere. 

But thats not all the dealerships have done. They have also been providing customers with virtual concerts on Facebook Live, featuring American Idol finalist Madison Vandenburg. One of thewas covered by The Daily Gazette. 

Turning to HPA LiveWellcovered in NYmetroparents.com, Julie Morison, PH.D. — a licensed psychologist in Albany, N.Y. — talked about how parents can manage their mental health during quarantine. Read her tips here.  

And to wrap this up, what’s better than a story about giving back? Redemption Church held a no-contact drive-thru food pantry at SUNYSchenectady to help those in need. The Times Union Newspaper published a preview of the event. 

The college was also the location of a food drive led by Schenectady County, the Schenectady Foundation, and The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. The Times Union Newspaper covered that as well, showing hundreds of people in their cars waiting to receive food.
