Have you ever heard the phrase, “small words have big meaning?” It’s true.
A simple sentence can contain an immense amount of meaning. So, as we continue to social distance for our community’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to share 3 small phrases that hopefully will help you get through the day.
“When you focus on the good, the good gets better.”
It’s always good to have a positive mindset when facing a challenge. As you wake up for your day of working from home or heading into your essential business, think positively. You can smile about the small accomplishments even. For instance, you put on a sweater rather than a sweatshirt today. High-five!
“Everything, in time.”
We know it can be frustrating to hear that your business is going to be closed for another couple of weeks or months, but everything will happen in time. We do not have control when it comes to a fight like this, so we say to forge ahead knowing that it will all work out in time.
“We cannot direct the winds, but we can adjust our sails.”
Adjusting to a new way of life, even temporarily, is hard but it’s the best we can do. Is your restaurant closed? Adjust to what you can offer to customers, which is delivery or takeout. Did you have an event coming up? Adjust by making it a virtual event.
Feel free to say these 3 phrases to yourself throughout the day. It will help you focus on what you need to get done for work or as you crush that homeschool work with your child in between.
