GLENVILLE, N.Y. – Jeff Haraden (current president of Mohawk Honda) and Andy Guelcher (current general manager of Mohawk Honda) announced today that they have taken ownership of Northstar Chevrolet in Clifton Park. The dealership will be rebranded as Mohawk Chevrolet after an extensive refurbishment to the existing facility. The dealership will remain open during the renovations and existing staff will be retained. Mohawk Chevrolet will continue selling new Chevrolet cars, SUVs and trucks along with selling used cars and servicing all makes and models.
Mohawk Chevrolet’s future, permanent home will be a brand-new 60,000 square foot facility proposed to be built in the Town of Malta. The current proposed site is located along Route 67 near the Exit 12 roundabouts. Haraden and Guelcher are working with the Town of Malta to bring that new state-of-the-art facility to fruition.
“For many of our 100 years and up until 1980, we operated as a Chevy dealership,” said Jeff Haraden, president of Mohawk Honda and third generation owner. “Chevy has continued to produce amazing cars and we cannot wait to bring Mohawk Honda’s level of customer service to this new brand.”

The transfer of ownership took place on Monday. Reconditioning of the facility is expected to be completed in 2020.
