Mohawk Ambulance Service is the largest privately-owned ambulance service in upstate New York with more than 250 employees and 40 emergency vehicles. Since 2014, Baker PR has managed an integrated marketing and public relations campaign, assisting Mohawk with media, community relations, advertising and crisis communications. As agency of record, our scope of work has continued to increase over our years working with Mohawk Ambulance.
The agency redesigned its website in 2015 with Baker PR drafting extensive new written content and managing third party contactors involved in the site’s design. We’ve since created and continue to manage a centralized Facebook account to further Mohawk Ambulance’s online presence. This also includes the design of digital and print advertisements to publicize company news and promotions.
In 2015, Baker PR supported the planning and execution of the inaugural Summer Safety Day event at Mohawk’s Central Avenue headquarters in Albany. The event, now held annually, provides presentations and tips on staying safe during the summer season to Albany children and families. Summer Safety Day doubled in size in its second year and included partnerships with the New York State Police, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Albany Police Department, Albany Fire Department, Albany County Department of Public Works, Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany, Albany Housing Authority, American Red Cross of Eastern New York and others.
Additionally, Baker PR has provided media training services to Mohawk Ambulance’s senior staff, counseling them on interview techniques and crisis communications. Through our work together, Mohawk Ambulance Service has become a reliable media resource for healthcare related news in the Capital Region and a respected partner to many community agencies.
