Over-the-top hunting lodge theme to take over decor and menus, open for season December 2 – January 4
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Hamlet & Ghost, the craft cocktail and New American restaurant will be launching their annual holiday pop-up with a new lavish theme, holiday cocktails and dining selections on December 2, 2019.
The Saratoga Springs outpost, known for their craft cocktail experts, fine spirits and seasonal cuisine, will return with their popular holiday pop-up for the 2019-2020 season. No stranger to bringing nationally acclaimed cocktail trends to the Capital Region, Hamlet & Ghost will introduce the popularity of the holiday pop-up to patrons, putting their own unique spin on the concept. This year’s hunting lodge theme will emulate classic Vermont cabin life complete with plaid touches and natural woodland features in a winter wonderland setting.
“This year, we are playing off the theme of the hunter’s lodge,” says Brendan Dillon, co-owner of Hamlet & Ghost. “We want people to come in and experience the nostalgia of the holiday season, it’s a chance to sit back with a mug of hot cocoa or a glass of eggnog and enjoy being with friends.”
The holiday pop-up opens on Monday, December 2 and will run through the holidays with their last holiday service on January 4. The staff invites customers to don their favorite (or ugliest) holiday sweaters, Santa hats or other festive outfits for a visit to the bar or dinner in downtown Saratoga Springs.
To match the holiday décor theme, Hamlet & Ghost will offer its usual beverage and dinner menus with the addition of their special holiday cocktails, including highlights such as the Peppermint Old Fashioned with peppermint syrup and a mini candy cane garnish, the “I Triple Dog Dare You!” made with Vodka, fresh lime juice and cranberry, orange and rosemary syrups and The Grinch which includes Peppermint Schnapps, chocolate liqueur and Italian Amaro. Prepared by Executive Chef Michele Hunter, dinner menu features will comprise of Hamlet classics like Cider Battered Cheese Curds, and Burrata Fondue as well as additions such as Elk Osso Buco, Roasted Quail and Braised Rabbit Gnocchi.
Hamlet & Ghost plans to feature special entertainment and events during the month of December, which will be announced on social media. Reservations for the holiday pop-up are encouraged and can be made at www.hamletandghost.com/visit.
