In late 2016, Baker Public Relations was retained, following a competitive bid process, to assist The Center for Neurobehavioral Health (a program affiliated with the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh and supported by the Research Foundation for The State University of New York) with drawing awareness to the Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiver Support Initiative, its newly created website, and its many services. The Center was awarded a 5-year grant for $7.5 million by the New York State Department of Health to help provide outreach and support to caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Baker Public Relations’ ongoing strategy includes a cohesive, integrated communications and advertising campaign that targets the North Country (encompassing six counties: Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Warren and Washington), social media and media relations. Our team ensures consistent messaging across all channels and mediums, including earned media (TV, print, radio, online), paid media (advertising, pay per click, paid influencers, etc.) and owned media (CSI’s social media platforms, web, etc.).
Since the creation of a Facebook page, we have initiated more than 1,400 followers and post engagement continues to increase with the regular addition of new and updated content, such as Caregiver Support Initiative videos filmed and edited by Baker Public Relations, that’s relevant to Caregiver Support Initiative’s target audience.
Baker Public Relations’ media relations efforts have landed Caregiver Support Initiative in both local and national news outlets such as Plattsburgh’s Press Republican, Glens Falls’ Post Star, Bustle, Caring.com, and Reader’s Digest.
