Located in the heart of downtown Albany, the Albany Capital Center provides state-of-the-art convention, ballroom and meeting space with on-site parking and top-notch amenities. During the pandemic, the Albany Convention Center had more than one dozen events cancel. The staff turned to Baker Public Relations for direction on how to assist nonprofits during a time when no one was able to hold large-scale fundraisers.
Baker Public Relations recently expanded its creative services and video production capabilities and presented the idea of a Farewell to 2020 virtual parade and fundraiser. Through strategic execution, Baker Public Relations exceeded sponsorship expectations, garnered impressive media coverage and video viewership which saw a 5,000 percent increase in typical video views. The virtual fundraiser brought in more than $15,000 for local nonprofits.
“Baker Public Relations and the Albany Captial Center have had a successful, long-term partnership,” said Megan Baker, president & CEO, Baker Public Relations. “As Agency of Record, it is our pleasure to have produced and promoted such a unique event that brought together the local community in a time of need.”
