LATHAM, N.Y. – Integra Optics, a global provider of carrier-grade fiber optics components, today announced that it is reinvesting in its growing workforce by instituting across-the-board compensation increases to its staff in Q1 of 2018. The increases are the extension of company profits from heightened production, and savings from the new federal tax plan signed into law at the end of 2017. This reinvestment also represents another layer in Integra Optics’ mission to scale with its growing industry and build on the momentum generated by its corporate rebrand and recent introduction of its automated production system.
Integra Optics currently employs 80 staff members in the United States and plans to add 15-20 new positions this year, of those new hires 40-50% will be veterans. A veteran-owned business, the company places a priority on hiring veterans and active reserve members and 25% of its employees have a background in the armed services. An aggressive five-year plan was also set to continue gaining new ground in the IT sector and reach $100 million in annual sales by 2022, this as the transceiver industry is expected to grow by 895% over that same period.
Integra Optics recently introduced high-speed robotics system, the first U.S.-based automated production system designed to process, code, package, and store fiber optic components. The three robots, each with its unique duties, are allowing Integra Optics to maintain the largest inventory of fiber optics components in the Western Hemisphere. With the introduction of the system, Integra Optics’ team members are better aligned to dedicate time to research and development.
