Available Positions
Baker Public Relations, a full-service, a New York State Certified Women Business Enterprise, with locations in St. Petersburg, Fla., Pittsburgh, Pa. and in Albany, N.Y., is seeking a Director of Client Strategy and Development to help support new revenue growth for the Florida market. To enable the agency to continue its growth trajectory forward, it needs the committed expertise of a talented and passionate marketing and public relations professional with 10-plus years of experience and demonstrated success in growing and overseeing a portfolio of clients to act as Director of Client Strategy & Development. This position reports directly to the president & CEO.

Job Responsibilities include:
- Work with account leads and senior team members to maintain and grow existing client relationships.
- Understand and translate the client’s marketing objectives into actionable next steps to effectively lead the media strategy and development of campaigns.
- Work collaboratively to manage workflow, ensuring flawless and timely execution.
- Lead the growth and retention of client portfolio with incremental upsell opportunities.
- Participate in new business pitches.
- Scope and define project parameters based upon campaign objectives to develop SOWs and profitable fee structures.
- Immerse yourself in the client’s business and develop the knowledge base needed to become a key strategic partner.
- Develop client presentations and other communications that are clear and persuasive.
- Supervise the daily functions, development, and growth of junior team members and direct reports, offering training, mentoring feedback, and guidance as needed.

- Support the creation, editing, and approval of client press materials, messaging and strategic plans.
- Manage and lead the agency’s day-to-day efforts with key client relationships and accounts.
- Strategically advise clients and develop ideas and solutions that achieve business, marketing and engagement objectives.
- Participate in and/or lead brainstorming sessions for the agency.
- Own the media strategies and forecasts developed to achieve client’s revenue/sales targets across all digital platforms (Performance).
- Assess and recommend research that will uncover category and/or consumer insights that will impact the client’s business and shape communications strategy.
- Translate client assignments into meaningful briefs for the creative teams and effectively balance dual expectations of clients and the agency.
- Clearly establish objectives and priorities for client initiatives.
- Review KPI’s for clients and oversee reporting on metrics.
- Remain informed of emerging marketing and PR strategies and trends.
- Attend key meetings, events, conferences, networking events, etc.
- Miscellaneous research, duties and projects as required.
Candidate Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a communications role either in-house or with an agency (preferred).
- Experience managing several accounts and/or projects simultaneously.
- Passion for creativity and innovation
- Strong managerial and team building skills.

Baker Public Relations, a full-service, woman-owned communications agency, with offices in Albany, N.Y., Pittsburgh, Pa. and St. Petersburg, Fla., is seeking to hire an experienced, talented account executive to work in conjunction with all Baker PR teams to deliver exceptional account management services for a range of clients in the agency’s roster that includes healthcare, hospitality, lifestyle, government, legal, sports, higher education, technology and real estate industries.
Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, hungry to work and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
The Day-to-Day
- Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, pitch letters, case studies, blog posts and more.
- Drive media and influencer outreach; arrange media interviews and prepare clients; monitor media coverage and provide results to team members and clients.
- Create content for and manage clients’ social media accounts such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Work with Creative Services team to identify existing messaging and content that can be leveraged in overall media and influencer outreach plans.
- Write clear and concise content for media pitches, blog posts, social media posts, press releases, and other content; work closely with social media team to develop and execute messages.
- Brainstorm new ideas for PR campaigns.
- Attend client events and industry conferences and workshops.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an outgoing and confident individual who can thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. This position is currently part-time with the potential for full-time employment.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Provide high-level support for senior leadership

- Arrange staff meetings
