Social Responsibility

A Purpose Beyond Our Work

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility is an essential part of who we are and is deeply embedded in the foundation of our agency. From supporting local communities to empowering the next generation of communications professionals, we are dedicated to making a positive impact beyond our client work. Our team regularly participates in charitable initiatives, educational programs and outreach efforts that reflect our core values and commitment to giving back. We believe that meaningful change starts with responsible leadership and a shared sense of purpose.

Why We Are Different

At The Baker Agency, social responsibility is deeply-rooted in our culture. Our Founder, President and CEO Megan Baker recalls a story about her late grandfather in which he talked two men out of mugging him at knifepoint in a Pittsburgh park when he was leaving work.

Megan’s grandfather helped the one young man get on his feet and remained a positive influence in his life for quite some time. That example of humanity stuck with Megan as a young girl and as did the trips her and her dad made to visit with veterans at the VA Health Care System in Butler, Pa.

Today, our team members are actively engaged in spreading goodwill in the communities in which we live, work and play. We volunteer on a regular basis, mentor young men and women in the community, serve on nonprofit boards and fundraising event planning committees, and donate resources to assist nonprofits to help them carry out their missions, programs and services.

“Baker Public Relations created a new online fundraiser for the Children’s Museum at Saratoga. We exceeded our fundraising goal and viewers felt that the telethon was TV-quality viewing on Facebook.

The team at Baker was able to produce a quality product within a short amount of time due to the expertise and creativity of the staff. The fundraiser was a great way for the Museum to connect with new and traditional audiences and it put the fun into fundraising! ”
